Quick and Dirty Creation and
Performance Workshop
August 12–16, 2008
Berger Park and Links Hall, Chicago
This five-day intensive workshop is for advanced and professional dancers wishing to deepen or expand their experience working as an ensemble dancer in the creation and performance of an original piece choreographed and directed by Molly Shanahan. Shanahan explores ensemble modalities that bridge her current research with tried-and-true methods for nurturing an idiosyncratic shared language, which establishes the foundation for an original ensemble process that relies upon, and honors, each dancer’s unique participation. Informal public performance on the final day.
Cost: $225, including $50 non-refundable deposit due with registration information by June 30, 2008.
